Reply detection and reply rate
Opens are inflated by image proxies and clicks are rare; for outreach the honest metric is the reply. MailBrother watches your inbox for replies to campaign emails, sorts them, and gives you a draft answer for each.
How replies are detected
Every 10 minutes MailBrother looks for new incoming messages in the Gmail threads of your campaigns (it never reads other mail). A message from the recipient marks the row as Replied; out-of-office and other automatic replies are recognised and shown separately, so they do not distort your reply rate.
Categories
| Category | Meaning | What MailBrother does |
|---|---|---|
| Interested | Wants to talk, asks for a call, price or demo | Gmail label MailBrother/Interested |
| Question | Asks something, intent unclear | Shown for a quick reply |
| Not now | Maybe later, busy, contact in N months | Follow-ups stop |
| Not interested | Declines, wrong person | Follow-ups stop |
| Asked to stop | "Unsubscribe", "remove me", "stop" in any of 10 languages | Address goes to your suppression list; after three such replies in a row the campaign pauses |
| Auto-reply | Out of office, delivery notices | Not counted as a reply; follow-ups continue |
Every reply also gets the Gmail label MailBrother/Replied, so you can work with them in Gmail without opening the extension. Categories are assigned by rules first and by AI for the rest; you can change any of them by hand.
The Replies tab
Open MailBrother → Replies. Filter by category, search an address, open the thread in Gmail, or press AI draft reply: MailBrother writes a short answer that addresses what was asked and proposes one next step, and saves it as a Gmail draft in the same thread. Nothing is sent until you press Send in Gmail.
Reply rate
The Replied column in the campaigns table and the campaign page show replies as a percentage of sent emails. The weekly digest email compares your week with the MailBrother average.
